This time last year, you might have been pondering Christmas bonuses or booking your summer holiday, but with a completely different business landscape in front of us, your head is no doubt filled with different questions. With the up-and-coming election and Covid-19 having impact on the business environment we are currently in an environment of unpredictability. With 85% of NZ small to medium enterprises expecting lower profit in the next nine months – the more prepared you can be the better! The attached newsletter covers common topics that may be keeping Kiwi business owners up at night - I encourage you to have a read.
We're also going through a couple of changes here at Flashpoint Accounting. We have just moved locations into an office near Mangawhai village, this is temporary until our more permanent office is constructed. Our postal address is still the same: PO Box 252, Mangawhai.
We are also in the process of recruiting a new part-time staff member to help oversee GST coding. This will mean Xero accounts will be up-to-date every two to three days. You should add firstname.lastname@example.org to your approved emails, if applicable. Luke, Helen and Veronica will still be involved with the GST process.
Thank you for your patience while we processed a bottle-neck of end of year accounts, due to some businesses requiring their reporting quickly as a result of Covid-19 implications. If you require your accounts urgently, please don't hesitate to contact us, alternatively we will be in touch in the coming months.
If you need to discuss anything with regards to your financial position you are welcome to call Luke directly Ph 021 432 436 or Luke@flashpointaccounting.co.nz.
With best wishes,
Luke Canton, Helen Canton, Veronica Griffin & Philippa Muller
